Paradiski Ski Resorts: A Quick Overview

Paradiski is a wonderful ski area that comprises three excellent resorts: Les Arcs, La Plagne and Peisey Vallandry. These resorts are all connected so you will be able to explore the whole area no matter where you book your catered chalet. Here is a quick guide to the three resorts to help you to choose the best one for your holiday.

Les Arcs

Les Arcs is a fantastic resort that is directly linked to La Plagne. Accommodation here mainly consists of apartments, but you will have no problem finding a catered chalet if you want to.

The villages here include Arcs 1600, Arcs 1800, Arcs 2000 and Arcs 1950, and all these offer the visitor something different. However, 1800 is the most popular and the most lively, with lots of bars and restaurants.

There are many pistes for all abilities, including black runs and off-piste skiing. In total there are 200 kilometres of pistes and over 50 lifts. Many of the runs are also above 2,000 metres, so snow cover is very reliable.

La Plagne

La Plagne is an excellent resort for intermediate skiers because 85% of the pistes here are blue or red. However, there are also nursery slopes and off-piste skiing available so it is still suitable for all abilities.

There are 10 villages in total, all of which are linked. Plagne Centre and Aime 2000 are two of the largest and most lively, but others such as Montachavin, Montalbert and Champagny are smaller and more traditional.

There are snow cannons for reliability, 130 pistes and a snow park here, so it is an excellent option if you are looking for a catered chalet in a fun resort.

Peisey Vallandry

Peisey Vallandry is the other resort in Paradiski, and could well be a good option for you. Plan-Peisey and Vallandry are the two main villages here, both of which are located at 1600 metres. The snow is reliable, and the chalets are built in a traditional Alpine style.

There are lots of runs for both skiers and snowboarders, and these are suitable for all abilities with both beginner runs and black runs available. There are over 100 pistes stretching for 200 kilometres in total. There are many good bars and restaurants, but it is not really a party resort and it is more suitable for people looking for a peaceful ski holiday.
